Mapping Fields from Lead to Opportunity, Contact, or Account

Steps to complete:

1. Go to Settings 2. Go to Customizations 3. Click Customization the System 4. Click Entities and expand the Lead entity 5. Click on 1:N Relationships 6. If you want to map from Lead to Opportunity, look for opportunity_originating_lead (pictured). If you want to change Account or Contact, look for account_originating_lead and contact_originating_lead, respectively. 7. Find the Mappings section in the top left hand corner of the window that pops up and click Mappings. 8. The following screen pops up 9. Choose the field from the Source (Lead) and map it to a field in the Target (in this case Entity). 10. Click OK 11. Repeat for other fields

We contracted with Tricension to take on something of a unique challenge with our firm; importing data from a variety of database types into our format. We gave Tricension some basic information on the process that we were using within our company and no documentation on the database itself. They have done an excellent job of familiarizing themselves with our database and other database types, creating their own processes to more efficiently import the data, and working with customers to keep them updated on progress.They have an excellent approach to project management and have done a great job of keeping our customers updated on progress. Our business fluctuates quite a bit seasonally, and they have done a great job adding staff to the projects during busy times and dialing back during slow periods. Although the cost per hour is higher for their service, we save money and provide better service by utilizing Tricension due to their staffing flexibility.
