Here at Tricension, we’re busy gearing up for 2015. A new Microsoft Dynamics release has arrived, with many new and useful features. Our CRM experts are preparing to help you implement, and we’re looking forward to it. Some are user-facing functions and others allow for better back-end development. But all allow for a better user experience.
Here are our top 10 favorite new features, available only on CRM 2015, to help make your customer relationships better than ever:
CRM 2015 allows users to create branching rules, plus the ability to combine multiple conditions within a rule. This makes it easier than ever for your CRM to work for your business, and not the other way around.
STRONGER MOBILE SALES FUNCTIONALITY
Your sales team is everywhere, and your CRM should be too. No wireless network access in a meeting? No problem. CRM 2015 allows users to create drafts offline for easy synchronization when you’re back online. Furthermore, all dashboards are now tablet-enabled.
ENHANCED BUSINESS RULES
Business rules in CRM 2015 now allow for If/Then logic. Plus, users now have the ability to combine expressions using And/Or.
Find what you need more efficiently with new search functions. Search in Dynamics CRM 2015 across different record types, and configure specific fields on your preferred entities. Just enter search criteria in the general navigation search bar and CRM does the searching for you.
Managers now have access to records for various reports based on hierarchy across the organization. For system administrators and sales managers, this feature will be a big time saver.
OUTLOOK AND SYNC ENHANCEMENTS
We’re excited about stronger field-level syncing in CRM 2015. Additional phone and address fields will be available, and end users can now add information to a contact note in Outlook alone. Fields that are synced will be flagged — so there’s no need to guess which fields will be visible in CRM.
Now, users can access a specific tab within System Settings for Service. CRM 2015 allows SLAs to be paused, based upon the Status Reason. Previously created SLAs will be considered standard SLAs and all new SLAs created in CRM 2015 will be considered Enhanced. All Enhanced SLA will be eligible to use this feature.
With this new function, users can leverage record relationships, calculated and roll-up fields. Easily visualize up to four different fields of data in CRM 2015.
CRM 2015 offers a new email editor, and marketers can easily select from templates or create emails from scratch using an interactive drag-and-drop build process. Expert users of CSS and HTML can use Dynamics’ new advanced editor too for more customization options. This functionality offers more direct email marketing opportunities than ever before.
Most businesses have at least some sensitive data that should only be viewed or edited by certain users. Field-level security functionality allows companies to set restrictions on access to custom fields and now to other fields too. For example, you can set up your CRM system to allow salespeople to view account number fields but not change them.
With the updates to CRM 2015, enjoy an overall improved user experience. With a focus on closing the gap between marketing and sales, you’re on your way towards better customer relationships.
