What Made SuiteWorld 2016 So Sweet
You know you’re attending a unique business event when there’s an all you can eat candy bar right in middle of the exhibition hall. Dispensers of my favorite candy…Sour patch kids, gummy worms, M&Ms, Jelly Bellys. How cool! In 15 years of attending trade shows, this is the sweetest(!) booth I’ve ever seen and a great introduction to yet another NetSuite success story, Dylans Candy Bar.
Dylan’s Candy Bar is the quintessential NetSuite success story; a company that realized 200% growth after moving to NetSuite’s cloud-based unified business platform. Dylan’s business is multifaceted and includes retail, wholesale distribution, and eCommerce.
Since implementing NetSuite, Dylan’s Candy Bar has improved processes and transformed into a more agile and efficient operation. The company has been able to enhance fundamental business processes and access real-time information on demand, empowering rapid brand expansion and true industry disruption. With robust business process founded in NetSuite, Dylan’s has been able to double the number of locations in the past year.
Dylan’s Candy Bar exemplifies the theme of this year’s SuiteWorld, “To Boldly Go…”; They boldly went there and are reaping the benefits!
In addition to amping attendees on sugar, NetSuite delivered high energy key notes featuring CTO Evan Goldberg on the drums, NetSuite’s CEO Zach Nelson, and executive members from industry-leading companies running NetSuite, such as DocuSign and HyperLoop One.
Beyond the excitement of Dylan’s Candy Bar, NetSuite announced many exciting new features available soon in the already-industry- leading Cloud ERP platform. Perhaps the most exciting feature announced is the enhanced reporting capability of SuiteAnalytics. These improvements build upon the data reporting and management strengths of NetSuite. With all your business data already in one place, it will now be even easier to analyze and report on what matters to you. The update will bring drag-and- drop report creation functionality along with robust pivot table capabilities. How sweet it is to hear this news!
Also announced in the next release of NetSuite are features aimed to enhance NetSuite’s already outstanding One World version. One World is NetSuite’s multi-currency, multi-lingual, multi-subsidiary platform commonly used by large International organizations. The enhanced functionality will ease inter-company transactions and billing, no matter what your company’s business model is. If you can sell it, NetSuite can bill it and recognize it!
